Success Stories

Before I started working with Angie, I felt completely stuck. I'd tried countless diets and workout programs, but I never found the right plan that felt sustainable for my busy life. My goals were to lose weight, but more importantly, to feel energized and confident again. Within just a few months, working with Angie has completely changed my life. I’ve lost 49 pounds and counting; my energy, confidence and self-esteem levels have skyrocketed.

Let me give you a little back story about me and my relationship with food. I grew up with a single mom who was on welfare and food stamps; and there was a time where there wasn’t enough money for food. I would use food for comfort especially in response to my emotions. For example, I got into a big fight with my best friend, about what I can’t remember. But I went to the store and bought a pint of ice cream, chips and 2 liters of soda and I ate them all. I felt so satisfied and comforted by doing this. As I got older, I would use food to comfort myself when I was sad, mad, or even happy. I knew food would always be there and not judge me and I would look forward to having junk food at night. Now I have developed a healthy relationship with food, and I feel like I can maintain it long-term. Angie’s expertise, constant encouragement, and personalized approach were crucial to my success. They helped me set realistic goals and she celebrated every victory with me, big or small. I no longer feel like weight loss is a battle, and my confidence has grown immensely. I can’t recommend Angie enough to anyone who is ready to transform their health and finally achieve their goals.

My relationship with food was filled with strict rules, guilt, and a never-ending cycle of restriction and overeating. Working with Angie completely changed how I view eating and my body. She taught me to listen to my hunger cues and that giving myself unconditional permission to eat actually helped me to stop obsessing over food.

She also taught me the value of protein rich foods. Now when I eat, I consider protein in each meal and snack. I have noticed how eating that way leaves me feeling more satisfied that when I eat empty calories. Angie's coaching style is one of listening, supporting and motivating. I found her extremely compassionate and kind. This journey has been about so much more than weight loss- it's been about healing my relationship with myself and finding peace.

I was fortunate to have Angie as a fitness coach for several years. I joined Angie not with a goal to lose weight but to gain strength, flexibility and overall better health. She offered support in nutrition, goal planning and exercise tailored to my specific needs and interests. She offered accountability in a non-judgmental atmosphere that I really needed. I felt like she was really rooting for me and interested in my health journey.

She was very approachable if I had questions, problems, or just a win to share. At times, I felt like I was failing in achieving some of my nutritional goals and she was so supportive, offering suggestions on smaller or more doable goals that I could achieve so I could continue to progress without guilt or shame. That helped me feel like I could move forward. There were times when there were roadblocks to my progress and she was really good at coming up with ideas to try to get around them. Something I always appreciated about Angie as a coach is that she showed us her journey as well. She shared her wins, her struggles and occasional blunders. I felt like she truly understood my wins and shortcomings.
